Formed in 2006, Bruin Builders, LLC specializes in residential, commercial, and design-build contracting. Partners Lee Hiner & T.J.Waddell each have distinct knowledge and abilities that complement the other. By working together they are able to produce top quality projects on budget and on time.
Lee C. Hiner is a New Bern Native. His desire to build led him to East Carolina University where he received a bachelors degree in Construction Management. During his college years he worked summer jobs in the field learning valuable hands on experience in every phase and aspect of of construction. He later went on to work for several large commercial contractors throughout eastern North Carolina as an estimator, project manager, and business development coordinator. His resume consists of multi-million dollar, design-build, military, religious facility, healthcare, and retail projects.
Timothy J. Waddell is a New Bern native whose name is synonymous with quality construction throughout eastern Carolina. T.J., as he is known, is a third generation builder whose field experience and knowledge exceed many twice his age. At the age of 17 he was running his own framing crews and by the age of 19 was running his own business specializing in framing, siding, windows, and additions. He later formed Waddell Construction with his father. Together they completed entire subdivisions in addition to many custom homes. His experience in every phase of building gives Bruin Builders the edge over the competition.
